We stayed at Yourcation Awaits cabin in Pigeon Forge, and had such a fun family vacation! With a toddler in our crew, our goal was to seek out…

Kanab, Utah: Things to Do

If you love natural beauty and active adventures, then Kanab, Utah is it! Less visited than nearby Zion and Arches, Kanab has just as much to offer but without the huge crowds.  I traveled here spring 2021 with my husband, and 9 month old baby. Our itinerary was a bit aggressive, but we did and saw so much! We flew round-trip out of Las Vegas, and also stopped at Death Valley and Zion. After one…

Things to do in Lexington, KY

Lexington, Kentucky is one of my favorite places. I’ve traveled all over the world, and as cheesy as it sounds, this city genuinely always feels like home. When I was a student at the University of Kentucky (go big blue!!), I had the privilege of living in this great town for five years. Even though I now live closer to Cincinnati, I still make it back to Lex frequently. So, what are my top suggestions…

One Day in Charleston: Itinerary

Charleston has that pure “southern charm”. It’s one of the most picturesque cities in the American south, and its rows of colorful streets lined with palm trees have a memorable appeal. It is truly beautiful- even if insanely humid! One day in Charleston Itinerary! I came here with my family to visit Folly Beach, and we were able to spend a few days in the city too. It instantly reminded me of Savannah, although each…

Y’all gotta stop hating on Cincinnati! 🇺🇸 Y’all gotta stop hating on Cincinnati! 🇺🇸 Just like anywhere it’s not perfect, but it’s actually a pretty great city and I feel very fortunate to have been born and raised in this area (technically I’m a northern Kentucky girl but you know how it goes 💁🏻‍♀️)!

If you have any questions about the locations in this video just let me know! ⬇️

(🩵 Also just to clarify, this is not becoming exclusively a “mom account”- I still want my posts to be relevant to travel lovers without kids too! 🩵)

⭐️ Posts about specific locations I’ve traveled to and things to do or see there (lately sharing my backlog of Scotland and Wales content!)

⭐️Tips for making family travel, toddler travel, and travel with a baby go smoothly (although I’m by no means an expert 😅), and sharing some great baby travel products

⭐️ Budget travel tips, “hacks”, and general advice on ways to make travel as attainable and affordable as can be. I like to share useful apps, and specific tactics I’ve used over the years

⭐️ Local content! I’ll be sharing some of my favorite things to do in Cincinnati and Kentucky (& nearby!) since I’m based here and inevitably can’t travel quite as much this year with a 👶 newborn.

We wanted to try out something new, and so renting We wanted to try out something new, and so renting a pool by the hour with @swimply was a great idea! 🏊‍♂️ It basically works like AirBNB where local pool owners can choose to rent out their backyards, pools, and/or hot tubs. 🏝️ Most places allow bigger groups too, so if a bunch of friends went in on it, it’s not a bad price at all!

There aren’t too many listings for my area, 😅 but bigger cities of course have loads more. Either way this was still really fun and I’d definitely recommend it as a way to beat the heat this summer! ☀️

👉👉To get $100 towards your first rental, go to the referral link in my bio!

(PS the pools I did the screen record of are located in NYC)

Wales definitely felt like a “hidden gem” as a travel destination- 💎 at least as someone from the US! I don’t think I’ve met more than 2 or 3 people who have ever been!

Most of the places we went were not crowded at all, and everything was so peaceful and beautiful 😍

Hidden gem 💎! East Fork Lake is only about a 40 Hidden gem 💎! East Fork Lake is only about a 40 minute drive from downtown Cincinnati. It has a nice sandy beach, 🏖️ and if you bring your chairs, cooler and umbrella you can mentally feel like you’re in Florida!

Seagulls 🐦 even included (I honestly had no idea they existed in Ohio until recently 😂)!

We “discovered” this place when all the pools were closed during Covid, 🏊‍♀️ and now we love going as often as we can.

Looking for other sandy beaches in the area? Check out a full list at the link in my bio! 🏝️

Great weekend getaway from Cincinnati! 🏡 Check Great weekend getaway from Cincinnati! 🏡 Check out @hopewellcroftcabin in Adam’s County, Ohio: It’s just a 1.5 hour drive from Cinci, and has sleeping space for up to 9 guests. There’s a deck, full kitchen, and plenty of woods around the property to explore! 🌲

Full disclosure, this cabin is actually owned by my husband’s family 😇 . It’s on property originally owned by his grandpa, and I love seeing John and Lorenzo out there exploring and enjoying their roots. 🥰 I get to come out a few times a year, and it really is a relaxing place! I also helped decorate some of it, so please admire 💁🏻‍♀️

You can book through their website and also on @airbnb 🎉
