Scotland: What to Pack for Winter Travel (for Women)

Trying to pack for a winter trip to Scotland can be tricky thanks to its unpredictable weather. With temperatures ranging from freezing to balmy, it's hard to know if you'll be warm and dry enough. You may luck out with temps in the upper/mid 40's, but it can definitely drop below freezing and get cold enough to snow. There's also about a 50-50 chance of rain each day, so be prepared! To help you be…

San Jose Hotels (Costa Rica) : Where to Stay

If you're heading to the land of "pura vida", odds are you are going to spend at least a day or two in the capital city of San Jose. While not at the top of my list for a vacation to Costa Rica, it has enough to merit a short visit!  While getting my Master's degree, I did a  "study abroad" program in a suburb of San José called Heredia. We went into the city…

Scotland has my heart as you know, 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 so adding that to the end of this UK road trip schedule makes it that much better! 🚙

One of my favorite travel tools ✈️ I’ve started using the last year is Thrifty Traveler Premium!

It sends email alerts when they find unusually good flight deals, mistake fares, or points/miles opportunities.

Instead of constantly checking airfare prices yourself, the deals come straight to you 📩

We actually bought our flights to Dublin last summer the day we got an email about a super discounted flight ✈️

If you’re looking to travel more while spending less, it’s definitely worth checking out 🌎! Link is in my bio & can save you $20 off your first year.

Looking for a family-friendly attraction in Louisv Looking for a family-friendly attraction in Louisville? 🏇

The Kentucky Derby Museum is it! ✨

Right next to Churchill Downs, the museum has interactive exhibits with plenty of hands-on activities 🎉

It gives kids a chance to learn about the history and excitement of the Kentucky Derby, in a way they can understand 🏇💕

Families can explore racing simulators, see authentic Derby artifacts, and even add on a variety of guided tours at Churchill Downs. 🏇👒

The museum is a nonprofit, and it’s the exclusive public tour provider for the track! We did the Thoroughbred Workout Tour, which is great for all ages and gives you the chance to see horses warming up and working out on the track 🏇🏇🏇

Whether you’re a horse racing fan or not, the Museum is still a place that both adults and kids can enjoy 😊

Afterwards, we went to live racing at the track, but there’s also endless other fun things to do in Louisville ✨

Thank you to @derbymuseum for hosting us! We had so much fun and made some great family memories 💕 #kentuckytravels #churchilldowns #kentuckyderby

The Dingle Peninsula is gorgeous though and you need to add it to your Ireland itinerary! 🎉

Also make sure to do a dolphin 🐬 tour out of Dingle town!
